To provide overall management of the Manufacturing service group. Responsible for ensuring overall safe performance of manufacturing to optimize project efficiencies/performance while achieving maximum profit for construction/manufacturing projects.


  • Establish and implement manufacturing objectives, policies, procedures, organizational structure, and performance standards within the boundaries of corporate policy.
  • Plan, staff and supervise all manufacturing activities including personnel administration, performance, equipment, schedules, quality, material, defining functions, responsibilities, marketing, etc.
  • Develop, direct, and monitor short-term and long-range plans consistent with overall profit and growth objectives of the Company.
  • Consult with Construction and Electrical Managers to coordinate project needs.
  • Maintain positive financial posture for the service group and monitor cost analysis activities on a routine basis.
  • Perform and direct research and client contracts to identify potential projects (customers) and gain admittance to bidders’ lists.
  • Maintain an effective business development program, securing new work on a routine basis.
  • Confer with professional staff to resolve operating problems, authorize operational procedures, and approve all major estimates.
  • Initiate and maintain liaison with prime client and A/E contracts to facilitate positive relationships and communication.
  • Make annual budget of expenditures.
  • Support and/or assist shop orientations and daily/weekly shop meetings.
  • Create weekly shop summaries and dashboards to track productivity and quality.
  • Develop and monitor training of service group.
  • Maintain OSHA and EPA compliance.
  • Review and monitor estimates for capabilities of performing work and workload; help with overflow and review final estimates.
  • Coordinate drafting workload to support project needs.
  • Coordinate fabrication schedules and monitor to ensure on time deliveries.
  • Ensure compliance with various Codes: ASME, ANSI, API, UL.
  • Assume additional responsibilities as required by operating needs or as directed.



  • Associate degree in technical, engineering, business management or equivalent required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • 10+ years’ management experience in manufacturing, estimating, and/or projects with a thorough knowledge of the natural gas industry.
  • Thorough knowledge of construction technology, scheduling and equipment; hands on experience in welding/fabrication preferred.
  • Position has overall P/L responsibility and requires proficient business development, marketing, and sales skills.
  • Ability to communicate and lead.
  • Demonstrated track record of successful goal achievement.
  • Demonstrates the ability to read and interpret contracts, budgets, reports and technical manuals.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills; verbal, written and interpersonal.
  • Ability to anticipate problems and use sound judgement and tact in handling confidential and other matters.


Other: Position may require travel up to 25%.
