To perform professional accounting and related processing, reporting and control functions; including transaction processing, financial system control, cost analysis, budget support, internal and external billing, project accounting and financial accounting and reporting.


  • Setup projects in the accounting software.
  • Maintain project-related records.
  • Create for approval all project-related billings.
  • Communicate with Project Managers regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications and approvals.
  • Review job cost activity ensuring consistent and proper coding.
  • Support project budgeting and forecasting activities.
  • Scan and code invoices into the accounting software.
  • Input estimates and other transactions into the accounting software.
  • Complete month end closing.
  • Provide support documentation for audits.
  • Provide Financial reports to shareholders or owners
  • Perform Bank reconciliations.
  • Correspond with vendors and respond to inquiries.
  • Complete monthly reports.
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies.
  • Other duties as designed.


  • Ideal candidate will possess a four (4) year accounting, finance or business administration degree or equivalent combination of technical training; 5+ years of accounting experience required.
  • Thorough knowledge of general accounting procedures and accounting software.
  • Ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality when dealing with highly sensitive issues or information.
  • Strong problem-solving skills, knowledge of basic accounting principles, documentation skills, research, resolution and data analysis skills.
  • Fundamental understanding of job costing.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence, as well as the ability to calculate and apply mathematical concepts.
  • Excellent organization, time management and communication skills required.
  • Attention to detail and the ability to meet critical deadlines and timelines.
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently.
  • Excellent follow through.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Previous experience with Vista by Viewpoint a plus.
  • Proficient in data entry.
  • Work will involve being in an office setting.
